“Trust is the glue of life. It’s the most essential ingredient in effective communication. It’s the foundational principle that holds all relationships.” – Stephen Covey
At RhythmOne, the trusted relationships we have with our customers are of the utmost importance. Trust is the main driving force behind our multi-pronged efforts to help ensure that we are transacting with inventory of the highest quality within our programmatic marketplace. While trust should be expected in any client-vendor relationship, the ad tech industry has been historically plagued by invalid traffic and sophisticated fraud schemes. This is why RhythmOne has placed such a strong emphasis on its quality initiatives — both in the vetting of publishers we work with, and in the technology itself, to flag and filter potentially problematic inventory sources.
Direct, pre-screened publisher relationships. One of the publisher development team’s mandates is to establish relationships of the highest quality from direct publishers, with a niche focus on comScore’s top 500 publishers. In return, these publishers are offered an omnichannel, end-to-end programmatic solution to help them efficiently manage their supply and increase revenue. We have “first-look” inventory from direct publishers integrated on our platform at scale, and have many preferred partnerships.
Rigorous publisher property vetting. Publisher properties are vetted manually by our compliance team prior to joining the RhythmOne network, as well as over the course of our partnership. Through a series of third party vendors, we scan each publisher’s properties to help ensure in-house and prevailing industry best practices are upheld. At RhythmOne, we take inventory quality seriously and are members of many industry self-regulatory associations, such as TAG, that are dedicated to eliminating fraudulent digital advertising traffic, combating malware, fighting ad-supported Internet piracy, and promoting brand safety through greater transparency.
Constant ad filtering to identify potentially invalid traffic. In addition to vetting our publisher relationships prior to onboarding into our SSP, we have an always-on filtering technology called RhythmGuard that acts as a bilateral protection for both the buyer and the seller. Within RhythmGuard, we couple proprietary technology with brand safety vendors such as IAS, WhiteOps, DoubleVerify, MOAT, and Pixalate. In addition, ad quality vendors like The Media Trust and Confiant filter the supply and creatives to help deliver a premium product from both sides.
Our efforts to deliver quality inventory is evident in our consistent top ranking in Pixalate’s global seller trust index. RhythmOne was ranked #1 overall for traffic quality in 2017, and remains #1, as of their latest listing. We reached the top ranking by our constant efforts to enforce our strict publisher partnership requirements, continuously improving our platform’s ability to identify and filter-out invalid traffic (IVT) at the pre-bid level, and conducting thorough post-bid analysis and using some of the industry’s latest verification tools.
RhythmOne gains the trust of our clients by earning it every day.
