With the arrival of spring, home owners begin to plot-out the projects they want or need to complete around their home. We thought it might be interesting to take a quick study of home owners and find out what they are planning for home related projects in the upcoming months, and what are the information sources they turn for help them planning and completing their home improvement projects.
To gather our information, we conducted an online survey over the past four weeks of 455 home-owners. Our findings provide a view into homeowners’ plans, and give directional information for marketers who will be targeting home owners in the upcoming months.

The findings from our study present a picture of a very robust upcoming home-improvement season. Additionally, the findings show that the home improvement season will continue to be very much driven by DIY’er. The DIY market has been one that brands – from home improvement retailers to lawn care products companies – has focused on: and our research clearly validates that decision.
