RhythmOne’s Programmatic Marketplace Ranked #1 Most Consecutive Months in US
London, England and San Francisco, CA – 11 April 2018 – RhythmOne plc (LSE AIM: RTHM), a global advertising technology company, today announces that it earned the #1 US and International rankings on Pixalate’s Global Seller Trust Index™ (GSTI) for all of 2017. As reported by Pixalate, RhythmOne’s rankings in 2017 were due to securing the #1 spot in the US GSTI for a record seven consecutive months (April – October). During the same time period, RhythmOne placed in the top 3 ranking on the International GSTI every month from February through December, resulting in an overall #1 ranking for the year.
Pixalate, a global data intelligence platform and real-time ad fraud protection provider, publishes the GSTI as an independent rating standard for programmatic advertising, measuring inventory quality across such criteria as viewability, reach, validity of traffic types, and malware.
RhythmOne’s rankings are largely the result of continuous innovation within RhythmGuard, the Company’s proprietary brand safety technology that is built into its unified programmatic marketplace. RhythmGuard rigorously screens all inventory, helping eliminate suspicious or underperforming traffic pre-bid. It does this by leveraging supply-side block lists and traffic scoring algorithms built from first- and third-party verification data. In addition, RhythmGuard monitors and filters traffic post-bid, providing creative and domain-level verification.
“Trust is the cornerstone of our relationships,” states James Murphy, VP Programmatic of RhythmOne. “In the advertising technology industry, transparency is the key to building trust in the programmatic marketplace. At RhythmOne we’ve invested in the tools and technology that enable advertisers to confidently buy high quality inventory from our marketplace and achieve their desired campaign results. Our ranking reflects our commitment to maintaining the highest levels of inventory quality.”
RhythmOne made significant enhancements to RhythmGuard over the last several months to improve its performance and value to advertisers. These include:
- On-boarded additional ad quality verification partners
- Updated RhythmOne’s proprietary algorithms for verification and for identifying and grouping traffic sources for better invalid traffic (IVT) avoidance
- Deepened Pixalate and Grapeshot integrations and updated its algorithms to use their data for better filtering
“Pixalate’s Seller Trust Indexes bring transparency to the programmatic industry by ranking the overall quality of sellers based on a variety of factors, including invalid traffic (IVT), viewability, reach, and more,” said Jalal Nasir, CEO of Pixalate. “We congratulate RhythmOne on their top overall ranking in 2017 for the US GSTI and International GSTI, and we urge all digital marketers to take a stand for quality.”
The Pixalate Global Seller Trust Index is a monthly report based upon proprietary technology that analyzes more than 100 billion monthly impressions for ad performance and quality of inventory. Global quality ratings are derived from an analysis of numerous traffic quality indicators, including network score, reach score, masking score, invalid traffic types, ad viewability scores, and malware – in compliance with recognized industry standards.
